On the warmest day of the season so far, Wellington were delighted to win the toss but found a wicket that was surprisingly slow and runs tough to come by against a team well prepared for that sort of pitch. Arron Campbell (30), Alex Sparks (34) and Luke Desave (28) all got starts but were unable to go on. Some late hitting from Lewis Sparks (13) and Rob Moysey (14*) got Wellington up to 182, which felt a few runs shy of par.
Luke Desave (0-24) opened up and was his usual miserly self, stopping the chase picking up any pace. He was well supported by the returning Will Derrick (1-20) as he got the first breakthrough. North Perrott soaked up the pressure and slowly worked their way through the runs while keeping their wickets in tact. Rob Moysey (2-39), Jack Beal (1-19) and Oli Beale (1-38) kept the hosts in check, while Alex Sparks got a good run out, but it wasn't quite enough as North Perrott made their total with 4 wickets and 10 balls left.
